How does Movie Wordle work?
Movie Wordle follows the Wordle principle: every day, a mystery movie title of 5 to 8 letters has to be guessed in 6 attempts. After each guess, the letters turn green (right letter, right spot), yellow (right letter, wrong spot) or grey (not in the title), guiding you towards the film of the day.
What is the difference with classic Wordle?
Classic Wordle asks you to find a common five-letter word. Movie Wordle — the film edition — asks you to find a well-known movie title. The colour rules are identical, but every single answer is a cult film, which makes it a real cinema word game.
Is this the English version of Wordle Films?

What time does the new film come out?
A new film to guess is released every day at 4 PM. The challenge is the same for every player: once you have found the film of the day, come back the next day at 4 PM for the next one.
How many films are in the game?
The game draws from a library of 180 movie titles, from 1970s and 1980s classics such as ALIEN and JAWS to recent blockbusters like JOKER and VENOM. Only titles of 5 to 8 letters are used, so every answer fits the grid.
Can I play without creating an account?

Movie titles play by different rules than ordinary words. They are full of proper nouns — JOKER, SHREK, ALIEN — and proper nouns do not behave like dictionary words. You cannot sound them out, you cannot reason about their vowels the way you would with crane or adieu, and your usual opening word tells you far less than it would in a standard Wordle.
What makes it harder is also what makes it more fun: you are not searching a dictionary, you are searching your memory. Somewhere between the second and the fourth guess, a pattern of green and yellow letters stops looking like a word and starts looking like a film you have seen a dozen times. That click is the whole point of the game.
The daily format keeps it honest. Everyone faces the same title on the same day, so a three-attempt win is genuinely comparable to someone else's six-attempt struggle. There is no way to grind it, no way to buy an advantage, and nothing to install.
1. Open with vowels, not with a film. A first guess built around common letters will tell you more about the shape of the title than a random film name. You only get six attempts — spend the first one on information, not on hope.
2. Count the letters before you type. The grid tells you exactly how long the title is, and titles of 5, 6, 7 and 8 letters do not have the same candidates. JAWS-length answers are rare; longer ones are usually two-word titles, and the hyphen is given to you for free.
3. Think in decades. Once you have two or three letters, run through movie eras: the 1980s blockbuster, the 1990s classic, the 2010s superhero film. Narrowing the decade is often faster than narrowing the word.
4. Do not waste a guess on a title you are sure of. A guess that cannot be right still earns its place if it tests four new letters. Every attempt is a question — make sure it is a useful one.
5. Chase the repeating letters. Movie titles love doubled letters: the double T in BATMAN era films, repeated vowels in animated titles. If a letter came back yellow, its twin is probably in the title too.
The classic Wordle tests your vocabulary. Movie Wordle tests your memory of titles you have seen on a poster a hundred times. And if you would rather recognise a film from what you hear, the music blind test flips the exercise entirely: a short audio clip, four possible answers, and a clock running.
All three take about three minutes and none of them asks for an account. That is the format Zikof builds around: one short daily challenge, the same for everybody, playable in the browser without a download.
